Colleen Gnos has been an artist since the age of 4. After being classically trained in Italy, she returned home to paint her own “classic” themes: surfing and the classic California beach life. She paints with a combination of tonal painting and glazing, giving her sirens and surfers depth and movement, and her waves the clarity of stained glass by building up the surface with many layers of glazes. A hard-working and versatile artist, her art can be found on canvas, walls and surfboards.
